One mark, one violet signal, everything else in daylight.
How MaIA Scan looks and sounds: the mark and its lockups, the colours, the two typefaces, the words we use and the pictures we take. Share this page with agencies, partners and bots; the same rules live in brand.json and brand.md.
01 · The mark
The iris
A white rounded tile with a hairline border holds the iris: three arcs drawn in the rose, violet and sky spectrum, and an ink pupil. It reads as a lens, an eye and a scan at once. The spectrum lives only in the line, never as a fill — that is what keeps it an instrument and not a gradient wash.
On dark surfaces (the footer band, the admin bar) the tile turns ink with a #3A3D42 hairline and a white pupil. Nothing else changes.
Clear spaceThe pupil's diameter on every side (16% of the tile). Nothing enters it: no text, no other logo, no edge of a photo.
Minimum size16 px on screen (the favicon), 6 mm in print. Below that use the pupil-and-arcs without the tile.
NeverRecolour the arcs. Fill the tile with the gradient. Add a shadow. Rotate it. Put it on a busy photo without the tile.

Mark plus wordmark
MaIA Scan
MaIA Scan
The wordmark is set in Mona Sans 700, tracking −0.02em, with a gap of one third of the mark. The family shares the mark and changes the second word: MaIA Scan, MaIA Try-On, MaIA Beauty Advisor. Never set the wordmark in the serif, never stack it under the mark at small sizes.
Next to the B4A logo the mark sits on the ink tile and the two keep the same cap height. "A company of B4A" is the only parent-brand line.

The spectrum (45°) appears in the mark's arcs, in chips over photos and in small accents. It is never a background, a button fill or a text gradient.

05 · Voice and naming
Plain, precise, confident
Short sentences. No hype adjectives. Every number names its source; a number without one is left out. The dataset is Brazilian consumer selfies — never "millions", never "worldwide". MaIA Try-On is a photo-based virtual try-on, never "AR" or a "virtual mirror". MaIA Beauty Advisor recommends from the brand's own catalog. No facial recognition, no identity matching, no medical diagnosis.

06 · Imagery and UI
A clinic in daylight
Real people, photographed in daylight on white. The scan overlay — the frame, the chips, the line — is the loudest graphic element on any page; the product is what the camera sees, not an illustration of it.
Chips over photos are white glass: rgba(255,255,255,0.9), the hairline border, ink text. Surfaces are white and stone with hairlines, never gradient washes. Ink bands are reserved for the footer and one editorial block per page. Buttons are ink pills; the ghost button is a hairline pill.
